WHO WE ARE
At STEMulate Learning Point, we live up to our tagline — Stimulating minds, Building futures. We understand that each child has different learning style and pace and we want all of them to learn, enjoy learning and keep learning. We aim to unleash and nurture our children’s talents and for them to constantly improve because lifelong learning is the key to their future.
HOW WE WORK
One crucial step in order for us to work with students is getting their trust. Establishing a personal relationship with them is the key in removing the learning barriers (e.g. tension, shyness, fear of failure and intimidation) they may be feeling like when they are in a normal classroom set up.
Our initial goal is to get them at ease with their teachers/mentors and classmates. In this way, they can get stimulated, motivated and encouraged in participating in class discussions. This allows us to assess their thoughts, curiosities, uncertainties and their overall grasp in the subject matter. Thus, we make sure they have a very good understanding of the basics or foundation of the topic before moving on to the next modules. We identify their weaknesses and assist them further in those topic areas they are having difficulty with. We adjust and adopt new strategies to help struggling students to understand the lesson. We ask challenging questions to leverage their critical thinking. We use reward system as a sign of appreciation on their efforts and motivate them to learn more.
WHAT WE DO
We provide academic tutoring service in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education for Grade 4 up to Grade 12 levels. We provide intensive review in four major subject areas namely Math, Science, Abstract Reasoning and English including Essay Writing to students taking up the Philippine Science High School admission exam, other science high school qualifying, collegiate DOST-SEI scholarship exam and other school admission exams. We impart to our students accurate and up to-date knowledge and skills they need in analyzing and solving problems. We present different solving techniques so students can use/adapt the method they best understand. On top of our regular classes, we provide free one-to-one/small group remedial lessons to support and improve their performance to boost their confidence. We engage the parents by being our partners in encouraging and guiding their children at home so we can achieve our common goal.
Mission
To understand the basic and advanced needs of each student enrolled in our review and tutoring programs. To provide a personalized approach, quality and effective tutoring to students in their academic requirements, school admission exams and scholarship exams such as the Philippine Science High School National Competitive Exam and DOST-SEI exam and other prominent school qualifying exams.
Vision
STEMulate Learning Point is a tutoring service that gives an exceptional training to each of its students. Our vision statement goes beyond providing their desired knowledge and skills when they needed them but through our community where we continuously collaborate with our alumni through performance monitoring, consultation and knowledge and experience-sharing.
